The country is beautiful, and even more incredible for rising out of the intense history of war and genocide. Take time to visit major sites that give you a glimpse into the history of the country, but also make sure you get to meet some of the friendly and positive people who have weathered through the history.

For this you need to experience the night life which is appealing. Like the vat temples, the Pub Street at Siem Reap is also a regular place of worship! Happy hours are a treat and loudly proclaim " Happy hours Open till Close". Live bands and music emanates from every lounge, tourists are dancing on the streets. Food is terrific, ice cream and bakery stuff par excellence and local people endearing. So much so, that the heart rending Killing Fields at Choeng Ek, Phnom Penn, where 2 million people were massacred brutally during the Pol Pot regime, similar to Hitler's, makes us wonder at the peoples resilience that they have come back so positively and are absolutely passive and friendly and welcoming.
